Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for skilled data engineers who are passionate about building robust and scalable data solutions. As a data engineer at Forge, you will be responsible both for designing data architectures and for developing and maintaining data pipelines and products. You will be working in close collaboration with our customers and a team of other data professionals aiming to extract insights and deliver business value from data.

Being able to solve problems independently and as part of a team is beneficial, and you should be able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The following list contains the experience and some skills needed in our projects:

• Track record of designing, developing and maintaining production-ready data services and data pipelines.
• Strong experience with cloud computing platforms and on building data products by using their services. Most common cloud platforms with our clients are Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
• Strong experience with SQL, databases and data warehousing technologies.
• Proficiency in Python and using related tooling and libraries.
• Experience in building, deploying and running machine learning models in production cloud or hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience in using some data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake for data management or ML pipelines is seen beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in both written and spoken Finnish and English is required.

Examples of possible project tasks:

• Building data pipelines to collect, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
• Designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes.
• Developing and maintaining machine learning models and workflow pipelines for training, validation and deployment.
• Creating data visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
